Raymond Romano is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and screenwriter. He is best known for his role as Raymond "Ray" Barone on the CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, for which he won three Primetime Emmy Awards.

He won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in 2002 and received Emmys in 2003 and 2005 for Outstanding Comedy Series as one of the show’s executive producers.
Ray made his feature film debut in 2003 as the voice of Manny the wooly mammoth in 20th Century Fox’s animated hit, Ice Age, and reprised the role in four sequels. He was also the subject of a 2006 documentary, 95 Miles to Go.
Ray teamed with Mike Royce in 2009 to create and star in Men of a Certain Age with Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher. The TNT comedy-drama ran for two seasons and won the Peabody Award in 2011. Ray also appeared in three seasons of NBC's Parenthood as photographer Hank Rizzoli.
Ray remained onscreen throughout the years and has appeared in series such as Vinyl, The Big Sick, Get Shorty, and Made for Love. He also appeared on Netflix in his stand-up special, Right Here, Around the Corner, the indie film Paddleton, and The Irishman.
Ray made his directorial debut with Somewhere in Queens, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and released in theatres April 2023. Next up, he stars in Project Artemis, an Apple Original Film, and will work alongside Scarlett Johansson, Woody Harrelson, and Channing Tatum. He will also star in the Netflix dark comedy series, No Good Deed, alongside Lisa Kudrow.
