    Mexican Independence Day

Mexican Independence Day is celebrated each year on September 16, commemorating Mexico’s declaration of independence from Spain in 1810.

In Spanish, it’s called El Grito de Delores or El Grito.

With such a diverse population of locals and visitors that come to Las Vegas, the city loves getting into the spirit. And where’s the best place to go? The Venetian Resort, of course. Check out the amazing line-up of festivities below. What are you waiting for? Join us in celebrating this historic holiday with all the excitement that can be found on the Las Vegas Strip.

CHICA Nights & Special Cocktails

A dimly lit bar with lush hanging plants above, a variety of bottles on shelves, and candles on the counter with four bar stools.

The vibrant spirit of Mexico’s Independence Day is in full swing at CHICA. Just for the holiday they created a special cocktail lineup—with tequila and mezcal, of course. For a fruity and refreshing drink, look no further than the Guavacito. The Corazon Blanco is complemented with lime juice, agave, guava, and mint bouquet garnish. Are you a fan of smokey cocktails? The Flor de Vida is right up your alley. Del Maguey Vida is combined with St-Germain, and Dolin Blanc Vermouth with a lemon twist offers a smokey and delicate concoction. But, wait—the festivities have only just begun. They’re taking things up a notch over the weekend and going all out for the holiday at CHICA Nights. Grab a cocktail and let’s raise a glass to freedom and the best Mexican-inspired mixology at CHICA.
