PRESS RELEASE

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Introduces Nomikai: Where Japanese Craft Meets Las Vegas Spirit

LAS VEGAS (Feb. 4, 2025)The Venetian Resort Las Vegas announces the debut of Nomikai, a vibrant new dining destination slated to open this Spring. Inspired by the beloved Japanese tradition of “Nomikai,” where friends and colleagues come together to enjoy food and drinks in a spirited setting, the debut sushi and speakeasy concept invites guests to savor exceptional cuisine and craft cocktails in an atmosphere that celebrates moments of connection and indulgence.

The perfect location for guests looking to drop in for an elevated fast-casual option, cocktail, or enjoy a full evening out, Nomikai will feature two distinct experiences: a quick-serve sushi counter for those on the go, offering freshly cut rolls and sashimi alongside Japanese tea or beer, taking inspiration from sushi bars in Tokyo; and an intimate, tucked away speakeasy and Japanese restaurant - a hidden gem serving a contemporary take on traditional Japanese cuisine, alongside celebrated libations and an extensive whiskey and sake collection. At the culinary helm is acclaimed sushi chef, Setsuji Mitsui, whose spirited roots of Japan influence Nomikai’s dynamic menu, blending tradition with innovation.

“As The Venetian Resort continues to set the standard for dining in Las Vegas, we’ve created a multi-dimensional space where guests can immerse themselves in the spirit of Nomikai. Whether it be a quick bite, cocktails with friends or dinner, the varied experiences celebrate the experiential art of connection and culture in a setting only The Venetian Resort can deliver. We’re thrilled to be able to offer such a unique concept to our guests,” said Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer of The Venetian Resort.

Nomikai, set to debut in Spring 2025 within The Venetian’s iconic Restaurant Row, is the latest addition to the resort’s expanded culinary lineup, which coincides with its $1.5 billion reinvestment project. For more information and event inquiries visit www.nomikaisushi.com.
